Religion Didn't Invent Morality, It Hijacked It.
Primate studies show empathy, fairness instincts. Hunter-gatherer groups had complex ethics (reciprocity, sharing) long before organized religion. Religions codified and claimed authority over pre-existing moral intuitions, adding supernatural enforcement. The core was already there.
