You've never seen documentation for project, did you? If you don't specify exactly what you want even among engineers, you will either get constant calls and e-mails asking for details, or you'll get something different from what you wanted which is fine when it comes to software because it can be rewritten, but not so fine when it comes to real life installations. I've lost count how many times projects had to be redone because someone didn't specify box parameters and just put "box" in description, installation team picked cheapest option that looked like it'd be enough, but then it turns out this kind of box has enough space to supply only like 80% of the building with internet connection. This forces you to contact building owner/administration and renegotiate, which half of the time is a mess, especially if it involves 3rd parthy like buildings which you have to run pipes through, and it's sure fail when building is categorized as historical monument and people "protecting" those buildings would rather force people to live in shit conditions, like share shitter in the hallway than let people lay some pipes to install their own shitters in flats. And often they'd rather prefer building in the end to collapse because they won't let you do any work in them unless it's overpriced stuff requiring actual artists while they don't have money or workers to renovate it themselves,
So yeah, shove your vague, short points up your ass.
