You know, this thread took a pretty sharp turn, but on the topic of the peculiar design of the PPGs and their appeal, just the other day I found out that the design of the Run of the Mill Girls are based on a redesign Craig made out of panic when his original pitch had a bunch of focus test kids complain about the original designs of the girls (like how they looked liked bugs or had no fingers). Funny how things work out, huh? I wonder if these more "conventional" looking designs would have been as popular and marketable as PPG ended up becoming with the classic designs everyone now knows and loves.
