As someone who's first D&D group was made up half by kids in special education, I will take the furry over the weeb since I have had both.
I GMed 3.5 in a game club during high school. I has two autists in my group. One of them was a furry, and one of them was a weeb. The furry kept trying to play as diferent monster races. The one he ended up sticking on was a thri-kren psychic warrior. The weeb just kept making male human fighters or adjacent classes based on different isekai protagonists. The furry showed initiative during roleplay even if it was for lolrandumb humor. The weeb had to keep being reminded what was going on and even kept forgetting how to Power Attack.
I miss them both.
