Because it's a good game DESPITE being woke. The amount of options and it being an actually really fucking solid 5e simulator (though limited to lvl 12) has nothing to do with the content, which often fucking sucks and if it REMOVED the dumbest woke shit, it would be EVEN better. If the writing and some options and scenes weren't so fucking gay i would be immersed even more eg. there's a scene in the brothel in BG3 where you talk to a chick and basically you get 5 dialogue options or something but ALL of them are some shitty variation of "you are le heckin brave for being a respectable sex worker" yadda yadda. You can never call her a whore, even if you're "evil".

It's a great game that is still great DESPITE woke shit holding some of it back. Basically a 9/10 where woke garbage (and some stuff caused by Larian being lazy lying fucks like Upper City etc.) keeps it from being a 11-12/10.
