I find this with dolls too. Big dolls arn't scary, but a small one that is possesed can hide and be quite. I remember having a nightmare about one as a kid where I came back home and found the atic door open before seeing the silhoutte of a doll appear around the ledge before leaping at me to attack before hiding again in the house, unable to keep track of it aside from it peering around a hallway corner or a door.
