Only the politically obsessed vote based on policy & platform. This is how it's been since forever. Half of Americans are functionally illiterate and most don't have education beyond dogshit public high schools. People vote based on vibes because they quite literally do not have the capability to think critically about the long-terms outcomes of putting one or the other party in power. The vibe in Fall 2024 was "eggs expensive brown people bad!" so that's what won. Democrats have been out of touch for a long time and if they don't push a genuine anti-big business anti-corruption pro-average Joe socialist platform then they will lose all future elections. I pray they win the midterms.
