rates are different yes Americans commit way more crimes of passion and homicides related to crime.. but that has nothing to do with guns.. the percentage done with guns is about 12%..
you're no more safe if the guns are gone really, 12% of 50% of all the homicides would probably (most likely based off the logic is someone willing to do something like that) just find another way to do it.
