Americans are pretty hypocritical on it. Usually forced to fall back on the "well, people shouldn't eat carnivores," even though A. dogs are omnivores and B. horses are herbivores and slaughtering them for meat is banned in the United States.

Why do Westerners flip their shit over eating non-endangered animals such as dogs, horses and some kinds of whales? Not everyone eats beef and pork like you, you know, but they tend to not be so sanctimonious over it.
