I'm aware. However, the budget for GTA6 is 2B USD and its a PS5/Xbox limited initial release. Double budget for marketing, so assume 3.5~4B USD total costs for the game.
There are 80M PS5 users, and this is the only relevant marker because Xbox is cooked. At 70 dollars a copy, they need to sell 28 MILLION copies to break even on a 2B budget, so functionally a 30% attach rate.
My argument isn't "GTA6 will bomb and sell nothing", but that GTA6 is fundamentally incapable of making ROI because AAA is cartoonishly bloated.

I could go deeper, but a lot of it is based on pretty heavy market analytics (the industry has stopped growing, most analysts think the amount of people currently playing games is the cap), in addition to arguments about how modern normalfag audiences are becoming rapidly more and more enthusiast; compare the skillfloor to play Fortnite's build mode to MW1, or compare BG3's RPG systems and mechanics to Skyrim. Players expectations are very very high these days, and I have absolutely 0 faith that ANY AAA company can hit them.
