well the master levels down the slave upon capture, but there are lots of benefits to giving more skill points to a slave, like being able to farm stronger monsters, being more helpful in farming low level pvp slaves, etc.
as long as the master is mindful of the challenge mechanic and doesnt allocate too many skill points, the slave is basically not escaping
but i like to be a LITTLE realistic in that an unbroken slave will try to escape/revolt at the beginning
but masters can downrank their slaves as much as they like to suit their tastes

i dont think there should be limits on that at all, but i prefer to allow for more emergent gameplay
there could be masters who buy, train, and flip slaves at auction, farm low level slaves for auction, or just farm players in pvp and move them about
it would be hilarious if a slave is bought and sold numerous times by the same player
even better if that slave is sold, managed to escape that master, and then enslaved again
