I mean, I think it's kind of a pointless now when we are like 15-20 people at most in these threads. It would have been awesome if those topics were discussed while Mujica was airing and the threads were at their absolute best, but we were occupied by other things to the point a lot of shit went flying by, especially when you have such a divisive series. I already said this before, but it's a miracle these threads maintained such a momentum after the anime finished airing, and we somehow managed to semi-regularly discuss some interesting shit, but ultimately this is a general, almost everyone left (the site being dead for almost two weeks accelerated that), and there is nothing wrong with that.
As for now, I'm just waiting for these threads to die at some point to see them rise again after the movie is released and subbed and S3 airs, because even if Mujica was divisive, even if it left a considerable percentage of people disappointed, I believe the threads will gather everyone who watched it while it was airing and the fags that watched after it finished airing, and a lot of the topics that were left in the air might resurge, and I can't fucking wait for it.
Speaking of, I remeber there was an anon who said Mujica had a marxist undertone or something like that. He never posted his analysis lol.
>On the other hand, it's also a show for girls
I never got that impression, even when both are quite melodramatic (especially Mujica).
>I reckon a good chunk of people watch sports anime to watch people play ball epic style, but this isn't why people read Medalist, for example.
People watch Medalist for the lolis. Being serious, people don't only watch/read spokon for the sport on iself (even when it's the "intrinsecal" element for all of them), they also read/watch them because most spokon tend to be character-focused stories; that's their biggest appeal. Medalist isn't an especial case there.
Cinderella Gray will be the spokon of the year.
