The natural process of heating and cooling doesn't just happen without a reason. There's always been an external force or other biological reason every time. We are not on schedule for it to happen, and the rate of it happening is the rate we would see if there was a huge event causing it.
My prediction is that resources (plant life, crops, fish, freshwater, aerable land) will all become increasingly strained at a rate that the burning of more fossil fuels cannot outpace. Trying to outrun it with more fossil fuels will result in not only an acceleration of the feedback loop, but worldwide strife caused by the resulting migration, further increasing the strain. Death is coming and there's no escaping it.
The only question is whether or not the dying off of enough people to reverse the effects happen in time. We'll not know in our lifetimes, but maybe the next generation or two. One thing is guaranteed, life will get worse for us (shittier) from here out, and the bad people will take every advantage from it.
