Why not both? I make mods for myself, then drop them into the community bucket telling people they have permission to do whatever the fuck they want with them and not to give me credit.

That's mostly laziness, though. Because I AM making them for myself, I don't want to be on the hook for updating public repos every time something gets updated after I stopped playing it 3 years ago. Fuck that noise. I did a small favor. Let the community deal with the rest.
