I have never seen a gaming trend as hated by non-fans as Souls games. Even Battle Royale and Extraction games leaves people that do not care for them mostly indifferent. Yet Souls games invoke deep hatred, impotent malding almost.
What do you think is the reason for such strong emotions?

Has a genre ever caused as much mindbreak as Souls games? Everyone who gets filtered by them can't help but feel deep seated hatred.

It's quite something for a videogame to elicit such strong positive or negative reactions to everyone interacting with them.
