Sm4sh had Smash Run which was fucking amazing...
...On the 3DS. I have no idea why they didn't add Smash Run on Wii U version. Or Switch version. They had no excuses to not add it on Ultimate. I find Ultimate a strange game. Rosterfagging was a fun past time, and it's cool they wanted to promote competitive scene for Smash games for a while. But after all is said and done, it feels like you only really have just the default Smash and not much else. WoL is WoL, Target Smash is Target Blast(Horrid), Homerun Contest is a nice distraction, and even when Classic is one of the best versions of the mode, it still feels bit annoying there isn't something like Boss Battle mode except for Sephiroth only.
But most painful thing to me was removal of trophies completely, it was the way I learned about lot of games and characters, and now you only have sticke- "spirits". Like spirits are a cool idea but I would rather have trophies with all kinds of info. Or at least the spirits could have same kind of info.
