Do you guys remember the tracers

Back up. The year is 2019.
Call of Duty went through a thousand years of pain and misery before they threw the powers that be into a volcano and managed to produce a solid, grounded FPS. They gave it a new coat of paint and called it "Modern Warfare".

Guns acted like guns and people acted like people that were kitted out with 50 pounds of gear.

There was actually a great deal of debate about colored tracers. A lot of people didn't like them because it was unrealistic and they thought it was goofy.
Just to clarify what I'm talking about in case anyone is confused: a tracer round is a round that leaves a streamer in the air behind it. MW2019 had colored tracers locked behind a paywall. They did nothing and they were actually a big disadvantage to you, it's like the TF2 effect where you can pay for a colorful and obnoxious unusual effect, but it just makes you a target for other people.

That's it. That was all.

After that, it took very little time before they started adding tie-ins from movies like Rambo and very little time after that when they started adding guns with pink Hello Kitty anime uwu and then eventually in due time there's a skin of a sloth smoking a blunt with a bandolier made out of joints.

I hate it. I legitimately fucking hate it.
I take zero explaining why. They just call it a "sanity check" in psychology.

There is a team of people that genuinely love what they do and are trying to make a "game" and there's a department of people that are just trying to sap as much as they can out of 8 year olds with stolen credit cards.
