there is hydrus but it is really complicated to use for retards so i made my own tagging system over the weekend which is losely based on the filename based searching i was doing before

automatically creates
created:<date> modified:<date> filename:<name>
tags, and then you can add other tags manually like groups, people, events, actions, stuff like that

all gets stored in a database with a viewer for easy searching

i also have image recognition based on these tags so it can recognize idols without tagging manually, i might open source it in the future
