Anon, I think it's time for you to understand most people don't really follow 100% one specific denomination dogma, most human beings simply can't do that even if by social convention they will declare alliance to one religion because that's how human beings are, you have people who may not believe in God or Heaven yet may believe in the spiritual world, reincarnation, karma, magic, etc.
More so in the current age, pick anyone in the street and after talking enough with them you will see heterodoxy everywhere.
Just look at this place, most christian denominations are against racism, yet you see here plenty of people who identify as christians being racists, not to an extreme degree but is still there.
