My thoughts? I mean it’s no Ninja Gaiden Ragebound. Remember Bloodstained, both curse of the moon and ritual? Yeah, they were better. BUT, the game isn’t a failure. Because it’s BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL, in almost every metric. It’d be easier to list the lacking aspects:
>some side quest were too grindy and kinda a waste of time, just existed to make you feel good for being a good person
>some styles just fucking sucked like the beast one, and you get an upgraded version of the base style without much effort which is VERY GOOD
>Many bosses with adds. Not a bazillion but way more than I liked, mostly just made them trap abuse fights
>Speaking of traps, there’s two that are so strong they make all the others null. Won’t name them because it’ll ruin your experience
>Final boss felt climatic but I really don’t know if I missed a true final boss like radiance. Not a bad thing but just pointing that out so you can say I didn’t really beat the game
What would I rate it? 9/10, sure. Game of the Year? No, but yes. Since Ragebound will not be at Dorito Pope’s show. So I’ll vote for this.
