immediatly southeast of Rome, a small mountain range called the Alban hills is found. It's part of the anti-Apennine range, a series of ranges separated from the main chain of the Apennines by deep valleys
on one of these hills (Monte Cavo, ancient Mons Albanus) the temple of Jupiter Latiaris, one of the most important religious sites in the whole Roman Empire, was found. today the site is unfortunately degraded and occupied by an abandoned monastery and illegal communication towers
