I'm familiar with nip mermaids but how did foxes end up getting portrayed as giant monsters? I thought foxes were mostly associated with kitsune and their furry succubi shtick, but you also get monstrous interpretations like pic related in several different manga, including this one. It almost feels like the Japanese version of the Big Bad Wolf.
