FNaF is so large at this point they shouldn't have to worry about being divisive. I mean look at the 85+ year old franchises of Superman and Batman! Those fans are divided into liking so many different iterations of the character, so much so that any new release of the IP is bound to draw controversy among fans.

Perhaps this is why fnaf is so popular among autists, all the characters look different on the outside in a superficial way, but when it comes down to it, all of them are no different from each other, and could all simply be replaced, or have the roster fat slimmed down by boiling them all to a singular menacing horror character, like the Mimic.
