RAREBREED RANGE (actually federal land because no ranges near me allow full auto/rapid fire) REPORT:
Near flawless operation. I had a milspec trigger in my AR before and I noticed no difference with the FRT in semiauto mode. Not a match trigger by any standards but perfectly serviceable. In FRT it just RUNS. It's a VERY close experience to full auto.
I thought there would be noticable slap but so long as you keep steady even pressure on the trigger you don't even really feel the reset. It's pretty retard proof and it's shockingly easy to shoot in 3-5 round bursts (or i guess rapid groups?) just like with a full auto rifle. I put 300 rounds through the gun fast and didn't have a single malfunction. One thing I noticed is that cyclic rate appears to be set by how hot your ammo is. M855 and M193 both ran dedently fast but still controllable, I'd guess 700-800rpm. It felt like a similiar speed to post-sample FA ARs I've fired before. I had some shitty underloaded Maxx steelcase .223 and that ran significantly slower, like 400-500rpm. Also your rifle gets HOT FAST when shooting in FRT mode. I know this seems obvious but I didn't really think about it and nearly burnt my hand after a magdump. Also you probably want a heavier barrel if you're going to be using using FRT frequently. Also a stout recoil spring and a heavy buffer is a must. All in all, pretty satisfied. Is it worth 500 burger bucks? Not 100% sure yet, I'll have to see how it preforms long term, but from initial experience imleaning towards yes.
