Ok, bonobos can't speak or write, but if I invented a visual way to teach them stuff, such as drawings or stuff like that, and every discovery a bonobo does gets represented visually in a drawing, how far could they technologically get? Could they eventually discover bacteria by inventing microscopes? I don't think that's beyond a bonobo's abilities, the only issue is that they can't keep their knowledge after they die and every bonobo that is born has to start from 0.
