Judging by Charlie's treatment of Vaggie as well, she would still put the hotel and redemption first which I don't see Alastor being quite so patient about. Charlie isn't stupid, but she is relatively immature and naïve and she frowns on his darker hobbies. I could see that getting boring for him quite quickly. Though that's probably true of most potential partners, not just Charlie. If he does end up being manipulated by Roo, I can see him being brought back by the power of friendship, or sacrificing himself to save Charlie in the final battle or something to that effect.

That's an interesting thought. He doesn't have much experience with healthy relationships of any kind, from what we see. If all he knows of love and those kind of feelings is overwhelming obsession, it's no wonder he avoids those kind of relationships.
