They had promised a light attack version as far back as 2011 to try and rekindle its sales and now they announced it again. We'll have to see if they really are able to start production, considering Syria gave up on receiving them even after the war ended and the nose laser designator and the AESA radar were promised years ago and never saw the light of day outside of brochures.
It's disappointing that from the specs they shared they still haven't fitted the body with chaff and flares, so they still need to sacrifice 2 pylons for them on top of not being able to mount full lenght payloads in the centerline one due to its landing gear doors.
