Two 7th Century skeletons found buried in England - one in Kent, one in Devon - were of West African - primarily Yoruba heritage.
In fact the body found in Uptown, Kent (pictured) was of a 11 - 13 year old girl who was 1/4th Black African and 3/4th Anglo-Saxon.
