I meant similar to PC on low-mid of course, stuff like field of view is reduced, and by special effects I mean lighting, weird water physics/leaves, steps on sand and other stuff that are not necessary (PS5 doesn't have those either).

>started a story with the ending
Not a good general advice honestly, which only works for a short story released all at once like what lovecraft wrote since you don't need to set up characters, you quickly go through the backstory and the payoff is the only thing that matters. Probably why lovecraft books are kinda samey of "this african/native/whatever people I don't understand has some fucked up cult, this guy who previously investigated became crazy and killed himself, then I investigate and see a small fraction of something beyond my understanding and become crazy myself", and the only variation is what monster is there (maybe a sea creature with a lost underwater city like dagon, or maybe some weird street that shouldn't exist). A game is a combined effort of many people from many areas (you can't just write whatever and expect the animators, designers and programmers to make it work, you can't just reboot/try something else if something isn't well received so it must adapt accordingly, and there is no way to know how long it will run through, you can't even know how long the next patch story will be due to time and resource constraints).

You first. Things are really bad if you need to slow down at least 10x to manage to see something that can be criticized.
