After first reading several million words worth of sidefics, I've finally finished the original story. Or rather, I read up to chapter 27 and then skimmed through the conclusion. Chapters started getting longer and I already know how it ends.

Don't think I'll be saying anything new here. Kkat can be thanked for a lot of FoE's initial worldbuilding. And the fic is reasonably well-written, and not weighted down by awkward, excessive prose (sorry Murky Number Seven).

But on the other hand Littlepip is the worst-written character I've ever read, with Velvet Remedy and Homage tied for second place. Major plot points bounce from 'decent' to 'contrived nonsense.' This is the first FoE fic I've read where I didn't really feel for any of the characters. At least I don't feel bad for seeing all the weird porn there is of them.
