It's almost the exact same situation though. Crimson only needs to avoid getting in contact with other dragons like Clev tries to avoid revealing his identity to the other black beasts, otherwise he only has like 3 or 4 different forms just for the sake of looking different for every new town/city he visits. Clev could have easily infiltrated Drel's army by posing as a soldier thus rotting the troops from the inside and at the same time learning some more stuff about humanity.
