It's such a simple trick, that it's dismaying so many people can be cast into doubt by it. What they do is take a random passage then add in an abundance of their own lies to try to to place it in a false context to make it seem like the Bible says something that is obviously wrong. They rely on the hope that most people don't read the Bible regularly and that they will be too afraid or too busy to sit down and actually read that section to check for themselves if it's a lie. All one has to do is pull up the passage and then read the entire chapter that it's from to see what lead up to it and what happens afterwords (in many cases it's a cherrypicked statement from the middle of the chapter) and then the surrounding context immediately makes it make sense and reveals how obvious and intention the lie was.

In this case, the unspoken context is that Jesus said this during His last talk with the disciples before ascending, making it seem as though he's referring to the Second Coming and saying it will happen before any of them pass on to the afterlife, but in actuality this is before the crucifixion and He's referring to that meeting exactly and talking about how their faith will be rewarded by Him showing them that He has risen and then ascends into His kingdom, making them some of the only humans in existence that have received undeniable proof of God's existence which is what allowed them to hold so strongly to the Truth even in the face of execution.
