You can't get killed by chip damage, however. You can just sit there blocking shit that would kill you and recover health by attacking back. Pretty cool.

Also looks like chip damage can't kill you, unless he got extremely lucky and the enemy's attack dealt exactly his current health -1 to live with a magic pixel.
So as long as you block, you're alive and fighting and can recover some health by being aggressive.
