I'm a CS/DS major, and it's SO HARD to land ANYTHING in this fucked up job market.
like last year, once it got too late to bother with internships, i started applying to all these random ass temp or part-time survival jobs on indeed.

>mexican shopping cart pusher at burlington
>pizza maker at wegman's
>locker room coordinator at some gym, for which i even got a current employee my age i knew there to vouch for me
>line cook at chipotle and panera
>server at like 40 different local restaurants
>boba wageslave 5 minutes driving distance from my chinese place
rejection after rejection from april, well through the summer, and it took that chinese church having someone's friend's in-law needing an extra hand at his pawn shop for me to get anything. but by then it was august, and while my og plan was to just duke out some gig thru the summer to make some bank by the school year, i then had to work at that place and study. tried a few on-campus roles too, but none wanted me.
hated that role. paid peanuts, which was better than nothing but still peanuts. among other issues, the guy was some old chinese guy. i had to go to some chinese den, and return to work to some other chinese den. both even more chinese than my folks' chinese den, since they barely spoke english. it made me feel like some chinese spy even though i'm just an american with chinese blood.
and for internships, last season it was like 300 applications, 6 interviews, and 1 acceptance.
ditto the dating market. which don't forget is gonna fucking escalate once i graduate. esp since it looks like i'll be stuck in mom's den for my 20s rather than living in the hustle and bustle of the big city (tm)

When I pressed them on that they portrayed themselves as the ones who tried to SAVE me from bonafide retard ABA classes, and advocate for me remaining in district (unsuccessfully).
They used to slap my ass too. Sometimes with rulers. If someday they discover my current kinks they fucking asked for it.
FYI it sort of IS the end of the world? I'm a rising senior this is my last year and shit. I live in a fucking unwalkable US suburb, and you know how my parents are. Last fall they gave me a hard time for going to a cafe w/ my buddies past 12 pm. A fucking CAFE, no booze or drugs.
I can't even follow the militarymaxxing approach based Twitter chuds rep since I'm too autistic, like enough to get me extra time on finals, and there's NO way they won't see it on my record.
(That, or my mom's an innocent well-meaning woman, and I'M the dipshit. Maybe I've hung out with too many white folks.)
