Silver's character really struggles with "vibes". He has consistent characteristics in the games but nobody knows what his "vibes" are supposed to be so they don't understand the character. Characters like Rouge and the Chaotix are the hardest to fuck up because they have clear vibes while Silver is very multifaceted and doesn't have consistent vibes for him to be boiled down to which is why he's been all over the place. Made all the worse by dub changes and Sonic Team not explaining or even emphasizing anything about him other than "he's young".
