I think I commented on it once, but they're bypassing the biggest problem that S1 had about the management of episode time. Half of season was filled in with redundant scenes and repeated actions that were unrelated to episodes or were just there to give more padding for the big cliffhanger they were planning to do at the second half/end of episode.
For S2, the episodes are more concise and complete, which brings in more storyboards to fill in the episode length, but still has two or three minutes left of screentime left, which it's complicated to fix by just padding with unplaced scenes as they were doing around S1. In general it's an improvement, since they reduced the amount of padding that averaged half of an episode to one or two songs in length in consequence of the improvement of screenwritting structure.
Besides that, there's also
>The arcade releases are specially fit into focusing into 2 characters at each batch, which could make them intimidated into thinking of earlier songs having "memorycrept" by others
>Just me, but I feel like the children are enjoying it better this way. Idk, something about attention spam and stuff
At least it's not as terrible as PriOke wasting 15 minutes of episode without knowing what to do since they actually just planned 5 of these. But I would at least prefer they change the coords or something like they did with the SubaOto song some eps ago. I blame the arcade on that for fixing the anime choices in stone beforehand. It's crippling them bit a bit.
