The answer to your question is that higher educated people are having kids, this isn't just a product of money, but finding a quality partner who is reliable. Generally speaking, reliable people go to college and meet people. A lot of these students have debt to pay off so money shouldn't be considered a factor. People working in trade jobs from my experience in both the military, trades and college has been that tradies have no time to find partners even when they have more money on hand. Not only that, but they're in locations where women aren't available like in cities. This leads to higher divorce(you get what you get) rates or younger generations not pursuing it at all. A lot of men have also been systematically just dropped and having been there, even with a degree, I couldn't even get a job at a fast food restaurant, they even told me to just go work in that field, but I couldn't because nobody would hire me without a driver's license, my own family wouldn't even trust me enough to learn. I got it at 28 after the military and getting full disability, but even with no record of crime, claims or, even a speeding ticket, my insurance rates are so staggeringly high that I can't even afford my own truck in California because insurance is twice my payments. I am a disabled veteran and I was going to get a bike, but now even using a bike that goes above 20 mph is illegal. So now I peddle to school and use the bus despite making 100k in California, not paying electric(solar grid) and living cheap as fuck in a trailer. I don't meet any women ever because I don't drink and I have 50k saved in my bank account right now, but the fact is, I ain't starting a family because I am too fucking busy trying to climb out of poverty and even take care of my parents financially.
Now I am too over qualified since I have no experience in my college field and manager qualifications.
