TV Tokyo decides DP is going to be the end of Ash's journey and overrules Yuyama's autism in order to make it happen. They task you with writing the ending, but everything up until Ash wins the 8th badge is unchanged. Like with MPM at the end of Journeys, they give you an extension on the number of episodes, so you can go past 191 in episode count, but you don't get a full additional year since they still need to start a brand-new BW anime with new protagonists.
