No court in the land would charge somebody for calling somebody else a Muppet, he would have been released at the station with no charges.
This 'alarm and distress' thing is currently being contested and the caution has already been given (which we didn't see).
He would have been arrested 'on suspicion of . . . ' which is the equivalent of 'being detained' in the USA.
All is not what it seems but no doubt chuds on 4chan will have hissy fits making up their own narrative.
It sounds like he was also masked, hiding his face . . . . . something is not right here!
