It's a shame that Dynasty Warriors 9 was so bad, because an open world Empires could work if done right. Imagine a DW open world that combined the real-time simulation aspects of Mount&Blade, officers collecting troops, patrolling/guarding territories, armies being formed to go on the offensive etc. All dynamically.

DynastyBros, what do you think we're getting in the "major" DLC?

I'd guess some or even all of these are possible. It's unlikely they will add a CAW as that will be a center feature of Origins Part 2 up to Wuzhang Plains. Also don't think they'd add an empires style free mode were we can pick the officers on each side of a battle etc, as I can see them releasing an Empires after the sequel which basically combines the assets from both games.
