The irony that they're being fed some of the worst HI3 stories, repackaged in ways that are worse than the original, tells you the casual HSR player consumes anything. Anything like genuine character development, or even singular NPCs that have better character writing than all of Amphoreus, is lost on them. At this rate, TB will never even reach Dreamseeker or Captainverse Captain level character and they'd just accept their roles as cameramen. A past HSR survey had this be a selectable option so it's not like the devs aren't aware, they just don't care or they know they don't need to change shit and people still buy. It's safe to say the many incarnations of Kiana will forever remain the best written Hoyo MC just because nothing else holds a candle and Mihoyo has no reason to change that.
