That's all true. The great failure of the American world order is that the US seeked to remake the world in its image. They had a belief that western systems, customs and institutions are inherently superior than the ones other peoples have. They thought that gave them the right to impose those systems on others, even if by force, and that this would be accepted seamlessly and that after those systems were imposed, there would be peace. These assumptions are incredibly arrogant. The peoples of the world are inherently different. Most have been around for just as long if not longer than "the west". They were shaped by the geography and climate that they inhabit, their different cultures, religions, their different ethnic composition, and many other factors. That makes it so that there's no ultimate "cooked and canned" system that can be exported and implemented broadly. Thats the great failure of the ideologies of the 19th and 20th century. Every country organizes itself on its own manner because of the factors that are unique to it. Eventually, to the Americans, their ideology became a tool of empire to justify hostile action against whomever didn't agree with their world view. What the Americans should have done is to use their power to enable bilateral economic relations between countries - not economic dominion, something that is mutually benefitial so that both sides benefit from it and have an interesting in upholding agreements. The Chinese seem to understand this and are bringing about the age of bilateralism that the Americans should have.
