She probably likes both, a lot of first wave black metal bleeds into death/thrash/speed metal and vice versa(Euronymous considered anything dark satanic and heavy to be "black metal" including thrash bands like Destruction, Mayhem initially had significant death metal influence in their sound, Darkthrone started off as a Death Metal band and still retained a lot of it into their sound in their second full length etc). That being said those paintings look DSBM covers so I am not sure if that is her thing or not, but I do head-canon that she's a Beherit fan.
