In order for the West to compete against China's One Belt One Road Initiative, they need to create an alternative trade route called the India Middle East Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) to help Western countries dominate trade routes from east Africa, the Indian Ocean, and through the Strait of Malacca. This will cut off China from international trade.
