That can and has happen a few times, context is usually the key to it, such as someone wanting to talk about Studio Trigger's work on Omega Strikers on /a/ or Universal Animation Studios early 90s work with video game openings of certain properties.
Is it right on the line? Absolutely. However the framing of the thread is focusing on the animation, not the game itself.
Also most mods are good just moving the thread themselves if it's a bad faith actor just wanting to force a /v/ thread on a different board.
