That is pretty close to the Mora 2000 from the early 90s.
They are ok, but I prefer the normal work knives more, and in particular the chisel knives (Fiskars would be the best).

The main problem with longer blades is that they have to be thicker.
Worker knives generally have the right thickness, but without the weight penalty.

Also, carbon steel is easier ro sharpen. I like it, even if they don't hold the edge as well.
A survival knife will be used on rocks, for batoning etc so you will need to sharpen them regardless.
Carbon steel is cheap, you can sharpen them easy and they hold the edge well enough.

Mora 2000 BTW suffered from a too thin blade which I think was fixed in later iterations.
