Hungary and Slovakia have asked the European Union to lift sanctions against six Russian businessmen in exchange for extending other sanctions against Russia.

In March, Russian businessman Vyacheslav Moshe Kantor, Russian Sports Minister Mikhail Degtyarev and billionaire Alisher Usmanov's sister Gulbahor Ismailova were removed from the "black" list in this way.
