I know I'd probably get a lot of shit for this, but I unironically am pro-transhumanism. I hate having a body that can get sick and malfunction. I don't like having to worry about my health or take medicine or live in fear that I'll develop some horrible condition. I don't like shitting or bleeding or vomiting or having to eat (although I love food, I just don't like the fact I have to eat it all the time). I wish I could have a robotic body that would not only never get sick or have medical conditions, but I'd be able to customize and mod so that I can look exactly how I want. It would also let me die on my own terms, instead of getting sick and dying in a hospital bed some day. I know there are tons of cautionary tales about it and like every story is about how terrible transhumanism is, but I think I would like it.
Of course, in reality, it would just be gay modern-day tech shit on steroids. Imagine all the retarded ass updates they put out for your phone, but it's actually your leg firmware. Imagine how people were getting locked out of their Teslas, except you're locked out of using a part of your brain. It's, in theory, a very good thing, but could not work in our society. That's what makes me sad.
