That's just because you are muttlandia. Gov services can often be much better than privately run. Good example: British railways. used to be the pride of britain, then privatized. What was the result? WORSE service, HIGHER costs, WORSE coverage. same with british mail and water treatment. Over here the same happened with our electrical grid.
Basically a natural monopoly is almost always better in government hands than private hands. But I agree that the government shouldn't try to engage in the free market, leave that to businesses. But state run basic services and natural monopolies can be good. (again assuming no niggers etc.)
