Many of that time grew up reading the greats. Now hardly anyone reads, and I see increasing amount of kids who can't read, or the most basic of proficiency.
I read the The Riftwar Saga at 12, the last generation to actually read was the Harry Potter generation. The quality of writing is shit across the board and the future is grim.
